Sri Goda Devi is a prominent 8th century Tamil saint. She is one of the twelve Alvars (saints) and the only Alvar of Vaishnavism. It is credited with the great Tamil works of Thirupavai and Nachiar Tirumozhi, which are still recited by devotees during the Margazhi winter festival season. Sri Goda Devi is known for his unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu. The Temple of Srivilliputhor is dedicated to her and marks her birthplace. Sri Goda Devi is regarded as a form of God in Tamilnadu.
